JuniorSharks-Great Faith Rockery Shocks KBK International

If what transpired on the first day of the popular quiz for Junior High Schools, #JuniorSharks is anything to go by, then the Season 5 of The Sharks Quiz promises to be the most keenly contested yet.

Already, the contests have started producing shocks and surprises contrary to what connoisseurs had predicted.

The second contest of Day 1 featuring Great Faith Rockery and Kay-Billie-Klaer International produced the first of possibly many shocks as the Kumasi-school progressed to the next stage at the expense of the Accra-based school.

How it happened-Round 1

The Questions in the First Round revolved around Social Literacy where both schools gave a good indication of their preparedness for the contest.

The Kumasi lads, however, edged KBK slightly with 50 points to 40 points at the end of the Round.

Round 2 ( Writing, Reading and Arithmetic)

Before the second round got underway, KBK Int. effected a tactical substitution bringing on Richmond and that appeared to have done the magic for them in Round 2.

KBK Int, East Legon, Accra, ended the Round with a superior point difference of twenty(20) points over Great Faith.

Round 3 (STEM )

Great Great Faith Rockery also effected a substitution, bouncing back strongly in this round to serve notice to all that they are not in to make the numbers.

Strangely, KBK demonstrated that they had answers to some of the questions but could not muster the courage to buzz to provide their answers, as the rules of engagement stipulate.

At the end of the round, Great Faith had bagged two answers correctly out of the ten questions in the Round.

Round 4( One-on-one round)

The protagonists in the last round, also known as the 'one-on-one' round were as follows:

Anita was to Great Faith as Faizaan was to Kay-Billie-Klaer in the English segment; Jokebed and Setor for Great Faith and KBK respectively in the Maths segment; Elsia and Bright for KBK and Great Faith respectively in the Science round.

At the end of the contest, the comeback that many were expecting did not materialize as Great Faith finished the Round strongly.

With two crisp answers correctly given by identifying the photo of Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister of Education and the flag of Ukraine, Great Faith produced the first shock of the #JuniorSharks.
