Vine Christian and Eden Montessori may share something in common from their first names, but in the Junior Sharks, a clear and distinct line was drawn between them. The two schools met at the Round of Sixteen(16) of The Sharks Season 5 to determine who joins the exclusive list of quarterfinalists.

Eden exhibited no shortage of quality when they beat Grace Beacon Academy effortlessly in their last contest.

Facing a sturdy opponent in Vine Christian, however, presented a different level of challenge that required manoeuvring at maximum verve. From Round 1 to Round 4, the events that unfolded is chronologically presented in the following.

Round 1

Eden Montessori started off with the first set of questions in Round 1, faltering along the way to end the Round with sub-par twenty(20) points.

Vine Christian took their turn and straightaway hit the ground running with back-to-back correct answers. Except having difficulties with three questions out of eight, Vine's display could be described as "fantastic by all standards"-to borrow the parlance of Ghanaian Sports commentators.

Round 2

A substitution was effected by Eden Montessori that brought on Samuel, which slightly changed the course of the Round. Contestants had the task of completing a set of proverbs under the 'Reading and Writing' sub-segment of 'R Cube'.

Both schools gave a good account of themselves, but it was Eden which blossomed to deservedly take the Round by a five(5) points margin.

Round 3

As difficult as questions in the STEM Round are, Vine Christian bounced back to successfully steer the Round. They finished with another twenty-five (25) points while Eden Montessori languished with five(5) points.

Round 4

Ivan and Ryan represented Eden Montessori and Vine Christian respectively in the English segment. Ryan took two questions correctly without fuzz- Super!

The Math segment saw Samuel and Bryan slug it out, and it was Bryan who picked the second question just on the bell to bag ten(10) points for Vine Christian. Future Scientists were Selasi for Eden and Michael for Vine Christian- Selasi stamped superiority by answering two questions correctly.

Khalisa for Eden Montessori and Calys for Vine Christian had the task of exhibiting their abilities in General Knowledge. Khalisa picked the first question correctly and let out a shout of excitement to show her relief.

Both then failed to identify the picture of Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iwiela.

On that note, the curtains was drawn on the contest. A dominant outing by Vine Christian to advance to Round of Eight of Junior Sharks Season 5.
