Presec- Legon beats Labone SHS in a one-sided quarterfinal of The Sharks Quiz

A third consecutive finals was within sight when Presec, Legon, faced relatively weak opposition in Labone SHS at the quarterfinals of Senior Sharks 5.

Labone SHS could not be written off entirely, however, if their last two contests are to be taken into consideration.

But without an iota of equivocation whatsoever, the Presbyterian Boys Secondary School remains the team to beat on any given day.

In the end, there was not be any giant killing in this contest as Presec accomplished another mind-blowing feat in Senior Sharks 5.

Round 1

With Kellogg's duly acknowledged as the sponsor of this round, Labone were to begin the round in earnest.

They tried all they could but all their best efforts yielded only forty(40) points.

Presec showed class and excellence in their last contest to end the first round with eighty(80) points.

The Blue Magicians hadn’t lost their lustre at all as they repeated the dose in this contest to end the round with eighty(80) points.

Round 2

Alfred Nsiah joined the action, and he was to be the fulcrum around which Presec would tackle most of their questions.

Presec continued their onslaught unabated in this Reading, Writing and Arithmetic( R-Cubed) round.

At the end of the round, they had a respectable forty(40) points while Labone who had also introduced Akpablie ended the round with fifteen(15) points.

Round 3

Alfred justified the reason he was brought on board as he threw a spanner in the works by taking the first two questions cleanly.

It was now Alfred against Labone or better yet, against the world, as he either got a question correct or he didn’t.

Labone were frozen in their tracks as Presec ran away with sixty-five(65) points while Labone had zero(0).

Round 4

At this juncture, Labone was in this contest for consolation points as they were mathematically homebound.

To wrap this contest up for Presec, the creme de la creme in English, Math, Science and General Knowledge from the two schools readied themselves for action.

English specialists were Bernice and Alexander for Labone SHS and Presec respectively.

Twenty(20) points was shared between them.

Selorm and Tweneboa-Kodua as Math experts showed up for Labone and Presec respectively.

Selorm took the second question correctly after missing the first.

Science Sharks were Alfred and Akpabile for Presec and Labone respectively.

There was no stopping Alfred as he took the two questions available yet again.

Olivia and Ernest rounded off this contest as Social Literacy masters for Labone and Presec respectively.

They could not identify correctly any of the items up for identification.

End of Round 4 scores were twenty(20) points and thirty(30) points for Labone and Presec respectively.

Presec had ran Labone asunder with two hundred and fifteen points(215) to seventy-five(75) points, Final scores indicated.
