Background

The grand finale of the Senior Sharks 4 delivered one of the most exciting contests of the competition, featuring a star-studded line-up of two great schools and a stunning result.

While the focus of fans had been on the familiar boys’ schools in the competition, it was the Cape Coast-based girls’ school that stole the show with a spectacular tie-breaker victory.

Presec, known for their dominance in competitions of such nature, had already given a hint of their potency with a 30-point difference in Round 1.

But stepping into Round 2, Presec knew they were facing a different challenge from the famed Wesleyan grammarians.

From the chime of the bell to start Round 2, Wesley Girls wasted no time, surging ahead in the Reading and Writing, and closing the gap on Presec in the Arithmetic segment.

Though the Blue Magicians had been given a reality check, they stayed composed, focusing on their strength in STEM.

Both schools then kept each other quiet in the subsequent two rounds to end the contest with seventy-five (75) points each.

When the first question to break the tie was posed, Wesley Girls hit the buzzer and answered correctly to clinch victory.
