A CLASH BETWEEN KNUST SHS AND ST LOUIS SHS, TOWNERS OF THE GARDEN CITY, KUMASI.

Round 2 of Senior Sharks 6 saw a clash between KNUST SHS and St. Louis SHS, towners of the garden city, Kumasi. KNUST SHS have been to the Senior Sharks before and are conversant with the rudiments of the game while St. Louis are attempting their first shot at the ultimate of Senior Sharks.

Both schools showed impressive knowledge in this contest, and demonstrated their abilities to think on their feet and come up with answers quickly.

The questions in this contest were not a  trifling, it must be noted, but both teams rose to the occasion and were courageous enough to attempt most of the questions.

It was KNUST SHS, however, which dictated affairs in this contest and made sure they were always a step ahead of their Oseikrom neighbours.

Round 1

Questions in the Right Corner Round and the Senior Sharks for that matter can be easily navigable or highly impregnable, depending on the approach and strategy.

St. Louis had the first set of eight questions  read to them for their responses and clearly got exposed by their newbie status in Senior Sharks.

A return of twenty (20) points from eighty( 80) available isn’t encouraging by any measure.

Mmadwemma, to wit, intellectual kids, as KNUST SHS are popularly called stood ready to earn maximum points from their set of eight questions.

Their approach, intriguingly, was also not fool-proof as they struggled just as St. Louis SHS had.

At the end of the Round, they had one question answered more than St. Louis to end the Round thirty (30) for the mixed school and twenty(20) for the all-girls school.

Round 2

After a tightly  contested Reading and Writing section, it was KNUST SHS who took the contest to St. Louis with some flabbergasting mathematics tactics.

They opened up an inspiring thirty(30) points gap with St. Louis to pile more pressure on the green and white ladies.

Round 3

Both schools were in for a nail-biting Round as the results in this round would have far-reaching consequence on who is loser or winner of this contest.

St. Louis with zero (0) points and KNUST SHS with five (5) points at the end of the Round did not help matters much.

Thus, the final Round held the last cards for either school.

Round 4

Dalphine and Boateng for St. Louis and KNUST came as English Specialist with Boateng picking the first question for ten (10) points.

Emmanuella and Michael for St. Louis and KNUST SHS respectively as Math sharks both scored zero.

Winnebelle and Stephen as Science experts for St. Louis and KNUST respectively both missed the first question but the former made amends and nailed the second.

Nana Yaw and Cecilia were the Social Science experts for KNUST SHS and St. Louis respectively.

Nana Yaw was the one who knew Spanish international tennis player, Raphael Nadal, and rightly identified his photo.

KNUST wrapped up a determined display with one hundred and ten (110) points, but there is more room for improvement if they are to go far in Senior Sharks Season 6.
