HOLY CHILD SCHOOL RIDE ON TO THE NEXT ROUND OF THE SHARKS QUIZ.

Holy Child School, Cape Coast, galloped to victory in their Senior Sharks 6 Round 2 contest against Tamale Girl's SHS. The sledgehammer of the Cape Coasters fell heavily on the Northerners, who could not find an escape route whatsoever. From the first round, Holy Child assumed total control of the contest and never once appeared ruffled by Tamale Girl’s.

Watching Holy Child evoked visions of a dress rehearsal before the main contest in the quarterfinals of Senior Sharks 6.

Round 1

Having been to the quarterfinals of Senior Sharks 6 and losing to finalists Presec, Legon, Holy Child had learnt useful lessons.

It was no surprise when they showcased their quality in Social Science by amassing sixty (60) points.

Tamale Girl’s were not poor either but fell short of the mark set by Holy Child School as they halved the eighty (80) points at stake to end the round with forty (40) points.

Round 2

Holy Child were cruising in the Reading and Writing with Bernice the most active participant in the onslaught.

Their output thus was enough to make amends for the setbacks they encountered in the Mathematics section.

At the end of the Round they held Tamale Girl’s at bay with fifteen (15) points while Tamale Girl's score was negated by five( -5).

 ROUND 3

STEM Rounds in Senior Sharks are slippery grounds and ought to be treaded with utmost caution.

Unfortunately both schools appeared to be overwhelmed with not much to eulogize both schools in this Round.

But even a lustreless Round as this had a faint light of hope from Holy Child School.

The girls from the Angels Hills ended the round on a positive note with ten (10) points while Tamale’s story still spoke in negative terms.

Round 4

With the contest mathematically out of the reach of Tamale Girl's, the rest was positioning for a best losing team to be in consideration for the next round.

Bernice and Bashiru for Holy Child and Tamale Girl’s respectively as English specialists had both going off target on their two questions.

Up next was Selassie and Josephine for Holy Child and Tamale Girl’s respectively as Math Sharks.

Selassie was on point with the answer to the first question but stayed away on the second question after Josephine had done some guesswork.

Paula displayed on-your-feet-thinking for Holy Child School as she took the two  questions posed in Science to leave Bashiru for Tamale Girl's out of sorts.

Nana Yaa and Hamidu stepped forward as Social Science experts for Holy Child and  Tamale Girls respectively.

Nana Yaa rightly identified the photo of the first female Vice-chancellor of the University of Ghana.

Incidentally, Prof. Nana Aba Amfo happens to be an alumna of Holy Child School, Cape Coast.

Holy Child ended the Round with forty (40) points and one hundred and thirty-five (135) points overall.

This is a very good outing that can be built upon in the next round of Senior Sharks 6.
