Senior Sharks 8 Round 16- St. Hubert stroll to victory against Saviour SHS
St. Hubert SHS and Minor Seminary turned up in style in their first Senior Sharks 8 contest with Saviour SHS, Oseim. With their impressive performance in Senior Sharks 7 as a fresh reminder of the talent they possess, St. Hubert didn’t let their fans down. The seminarians really shook Saviour SHS from start to finish, with no saviour in sight to save the Easterners. St. Hubert SHS (Suhass) had everything going for them in this contest, as they won this contest with a tectonic margin.
The win will boost the morale of Suhass as they prepare themselves rigorously for the more stringent stages of the competition.
But their heavy defeat notwithstanding, Saviour SHS will have the goodwill of the Sharks fraternity following them wherever they go.
They leave the Senior Sharks 8 with a win under their belt, something that is not a given in the Senior Sharks quiz.
Round 1 (Right Corner)
Saviour SHS went in first and put out their utmost best in an admirable way to end the round with twenty (20) points.
St. Hubert had a firmer grip on their General Knowledge questions, also doing two better than their opponents to end with forty (40) points.
Round 2 (R Cubed)
St Hubert had a pretty amazing appreciation of both Literacy and Numeracy and deservedly registered fifty (50) points to end the round.
For Saviour SHS, twenty (20) points at the end of the round also indicated their
Round 3 (STEM Round)
Saviour attempted to inject a fresh twist into their campaign, as they took their chances and delivered the first riddle neatly.
St. Hubert was much more strategic, but Saviour continued to hazard more guesses, with the majority returning incorrect.
At the end of the round, St. Hubert had ten (10) points, while Saviour SHS had the same points on the opposite side of the number line.
Round 4 (One-on-one)
The experts started with Dickson and Christabel in English for Suhass and Saviour respectively. No scores were recorded for both of them.
Then James for Saviour and Ismael for Suhass showed up as Science experts from which Ishmael got ten (10) points for St. Hubert
Proceeding, Prince and Hagar for St. Hubert and Saviour SHS, respectively, lined up. Hagar did well to earn ten (10) points for Saviour.
In General Knowledge, Michael and Kezia appeared as experts in the name of St. Hubert and Saviour respectively.
Beyond their names, nothing of value came from any of them.
Thus the round ended with twenty (20) points for St. Hubert, as Saviour SHS, took ten (10) points.
With a score of one hundred and twenty (120), St. Hubert had triumphed over Saviour SHS who had a commiserable score of forty (40).
The Hunters, as St. Hubert’s alias identifies went hunting and came back with a bounty. Well done to St. Hubert, and better luck, Saviour SHS.
