Opoku Ware School were light-years ahead of Tamale Islamic Science SHS in their Round of 16 match of Senior Sharks 6.Opoku Ware School (OWASS), Season 2 winners of the most innovative quiz competition carried this contest with flying colours. Having achieved a fourth-place finish in Season 5, OWASS entered this contest as a Super Ranked School while Tamale Islamic scrapped through from the first Round.

Except for the first round where Tamale Islamic pegged the Santasi-Kumasi based school, they had no antidote to the firepower of OWASS.

The tour de force with which Opoku Ware delivered this contest appear to have been a direct and unambiguous message to other title contenders.

Round 1

Tamale Islamic Science SHS attempted all questions posed admirably and ended up with an encouraging sixty (60) points.

Opoku Ware School then took turn and with great zest tackled all questions inquired of them.

Like Tamale Islamic Science SHS, they also finished the Round with sixty (60) points.

Round 2

Round 2 of this contest was the point of departure between OWASS and Tamale Islamic Science SHS.

Even though Tamale Islamic Science SHS hit a good number of questions correctly, they eroded their gains with a string of wrong calls, allowing OWASS to sweep their bonuses on top of their main questions.

At the end of the Round, Tamale Islamic Science SHS parted with ten (15) points while OWASS bagged a staggering sixty-five (65) points.

Round 3

Tamale Islamic Science SHS started this Round knowing well that they had a steep slope to overcome to stand any chance of catching OWASS.

That stark realization led to a lot of uninformed buzzes by contestants which returned as incorrect.

Once again, OWASS hardly put a foot wrong in the STEM Round and pressed on without recourse to the Northern representatives.

OWASS had fifty-five (55) points at the end of the Round to leave Tamale down and out of the contest, even with their ten (10) points.

Round 4

Joshua and Aminu for OWASS and Tamale Islamic Science SHS respectively were tagged as English doyens.

Joshua took the first question impressively but Aminu reciprocated the gesture and took the second question beautifully too.

Abubakari and Maxwell squared off as Math experts for Tamale and OWASS respectively.

As Maxwell was adjudged incorrect with his answer, Abubakari was hard done by the rules of engagement on buzzing.

Maxwell made amends and delivered the second question to loud cheers from OWASS fans therein present.

In Science, Benjamin and  Ibrahim faced each other for OWASS and Tamale Islamic Science SHS respectively but both missed the first question.

Once again, Benjamin righted the earlier wrong with a correct answer on the second question after Ibrahim had gone off target.

Ridwan and Kwame as Social Scientists for Tamale Islamic Science SHS and OWASS respectively was an interesting pair up to watch.

Kwame had the better of Ridwan to identify the photo of Nigerian President-elect, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

On the audio identification , however, both could not come up with anything close to a correct answer.

Round Four Scores showed forty (40) points for the Kumericans and Tamale Islamic Science SHS with ten (10) points.

Final scores for this encounter had Tamale Islamic Science SHS going home with ninety-five (95) points while OWASS progress as the biggest winner of any contest in Senior Sharks 6 with two hundred and twenty (220) points.
