SUPERB LABONE ENDS HOLY CHILD'S DREAM

Indeed, Holy Child School( Holico) were at par with Labone SHS (Labosco) in the initial stages of this Round of 16 contest.

It was to be expected, as a matter of course , that they would build on that to catapult themselves to ultimate victory.

As the contest entered a more intellectually demanding phase, however, Holy Child gave uncoordinated responses to suffer a self-inflicted implosion.

Labone SHS, on the other hand were in ebullient spirit thereafter and clearly in no mood to give the Angel Hills ladies a chance back into the contest.

They made sure they put the contest beyond the reach of Holy Child to record Senior Sharks 6 first major upset.

Round 1

Round 1 of the contest smiled quite nicely on both teams as their efforts yielded better-than-average outcomes.

Holy Child School and Labone SHS ended the round with fifty (50) points each.

Round 2

With both teams eager to take charge of this Round after the stalemate in Round 1, answers in the Reading and Writing segment were generally apt.

It is the Arithmetic segment which proved to be the Waterloo for both schools, as they both struggled.

The difficulty dealing with Arithmetic questions nonetheless, Labone were still a more purposeful team than Holy Child School.

Labone now were clearly in the driving seat as they were able to amass thirty (30) points to end the round as against five (5) by Holy Child.

Round 3

Labone broke the loud silence in the STEM Round with ESelassie on target with two correct answers in quick succession.

It was all Labone in this Round, except on the very last riddle which was buzzed for correctly by Paula to salvage some points for Holy Child.

End of Round scores showed Labone with twenty-five (25) points to leave Holy Child still in the five (5) points bracket.

Round 4

Bernice Makafui Dorison for Labosco and Bernice Ackah Swanzy for Holy Child respectively as English experts looked sharp.

After Bernice of Holy Child School went first to hit ten (10) points, her namesake of Labone rose to the challenge and hit the second question correctly.

Pamela and Selassie for Labosco and Holy Child School respectively were presented to fans and viewers as Math Sharks.

Pamela confidently snatched the second question after both had gone down south on their first attempt.

ESelassie and Paula came up as Science experts for Labone and Holy Child School respectively.

ESelassie showed how it is done when Paula fumbled on her first attempt and went ahead to hit the second question also.

Vice President of the United State of America,Kamala Harris’ voice was easily spotted by Charles who had re-entered the contest as the most proficient in Social Literacy for Labosco.

He went further to identify the photo of the great wall of China, to leave Nana Yaa Agyemang who had also being brought back as the General Knowledge for Holy Child motionless.

End of Round 4 showed Labone SHS ending the contest strongly with sixty (60) points while Holy Child School made just ten (10) points.

Labone SHS had displayed utmost superiority over Holy Child School to finish the contest with a total tally of one hundred and sixty-five (165) points and Holy Child School with seventy (70) points.

Well done Labosco!
