Senior Sharks Season 9 – The Final 32 Take the Stage
The wait is over. The lineup is complete. And the Final 32 schools for Senior Sharks Season 9 are officially ready to step into the arena. After a rigorous preliminary phase and intense academic screening, thirty-two outstanding senior high schools from across the country have earned their place in this year’s competition. Some return with pedigree and experience. Others arrive hungry to disrupt the order. All thirty-two share one mission which is to fight their way to the Golden Book of Knowledge.
One of the significant talking points this season is the absence of Mfantsipim School, who did not progress beyond the preliminary stage.
Last season’s champions, St. Augustine's College, return with expectations firmly on their shoulders, but in Senior Sharks, history offers no guarantees. Every season writes its own story.
The Qualified Schools – A New Wave Rises
After a rigorous preliminary phase, schools across the country earned their places at the national stage.
From the Greater Accra Region, Accra High School, Accra Girls’ Senior High School and West Africa Senior High School secured qualification. The Central Region is represented by Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion SHS, Ghana National College and Holy Child School, while the Western Region sends Adiembra Senior High School and Tarkwa Senior High School.
Ashanti Region fields a powerful lineup comprising KNUST SHS, Kumasi Academy, Juaben Senior High School and Kumasi Girls’ Senior High School. From the Eastern Region come Nifa Senior High School, Mpraeso Senior High School and Adonten Senior High School, with Wallahs Academy Senior High School representing the Volta Region.

These schools arrive focused and determined to disrupt established hierarchies.
Ranked Schools – The Determined Challengers
The Ranked Schools, who made significant impressions in Season 8, include St. Louis Senior High School, Labone Senior High School, St. Thomas Aquinas SHS, Prempeh College, Wesley Girls’ Senior High School, Adisadel College, University Practice Senior High School and Saviour Senior High School.

They return with unfinished business.
Super Ranked Schools – The Elite Circle
The Super Ranked category, reserved for schools that reached at least the Quarterfinals last season, includes defending champions St. Augustine’s College, Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC, Legon), St. Peter’s Senior High School, St. Hubert Seminary SHS, Keta Senior High Technical School (KETASCO), Okuapemman School, Opoku Ware School and Accra Academy.

These institutions enter Season 9 strategically poised, benefiting from exemption in the early rounds and additional preparation time.
What to Expect
Season 9 will be anything but ordinary. Contestants will be rigorously tested across the core curtains of numeracy, social literacy, STEM and literacy demanding not just recall, but depth of understanding, analytical reasoning and composure under pressure. Expect faster buzzer battles, tougher concept-driven questions, bold strategic risk-taking and razor-thin margins between victory and elimination.
The early rounds will expose weaknesses, the knockout stages will test nerves, and the finals will ultimately test legacy.
But one truth remains: only one school will lift the Golden Book of Knowledge.
Senior Sharks Season 9 — Rise to the Challenge.
