Vine Christian wins by whiskers as Mensah Saahene bows out gracefully

Vine Christian School heaved a heavy sigh of relief after escaping Mensah Saahene Int. School’s hot pursuit by inches to make it to the next stage of the Junior Sharks 8 competition. This first contest in the afternoon segment of Round 32 contests of Junior Sharks 8 confirmed once again the old cliche, “It is not over until it is over”. Both Vine Christian and Mensah Saahene earned massive praise from fans for displaying a high degree of intellectual ability.

Interestingly, it would be discovered from the points built up in this contest that both schools had their strengths in specific subject areas.

They thus deployed their strong side strategically to advance their goals in Junior Sharks Season 8.

Mampong Ashanti finest, Mensah Saahene, was impressed by the way they delivered exceptionally well General knowledge-related questions.

In contrast, Vine Christian were well and truly on top in Numeracy and Literacy, which they made the most out of to brighten their chances.

As veterans of Junior Sharks, Vine Christian High, Season 4 First runner-up, already knew the drill and kept their composure to record an inspiring win.

 

Round 1 (Right Corner Round)

Mensah Saahene took their chances very well when they had the green light to begin the contest.

With all hands on deck, they established a very big gap in the first round to send Vine Christian reeling under pressure.

Vine Christian, were given the same nature of questions when it was their turn, but they appeared to be ill-prepared for questions in social literacy.

At the end of the round, scores were allocated as follows: Mensah Saahene- sixty (60) points,

Vine Christian- twenty (20) points.

 

Round 2 (R Cubed Round)

Mensah Saahene took their first question in the English segment of round well and thus made very crucial ten (10) points.

Vine Christian also grabbed their chances with both hands in this segment to record points

In the Arithmetic segment under the same Round, both schools started impressively and ended with big scores.

Thus, scores at the end of Round Two (2) showed Mensah Saahene with twenty-five (25) points as against Vine Christian’s fifty-five (55) points.

 

Round 3 (STEM Round)

From the way buzzes from both schools filled the air in quick succession, it was clear no school was prepared to let another out of their sight.

The Sharks fans were to witness one of the most tense rounds, as each school endured a mixture of hits and misses.

Vine Christian, however, was able to hold a slight advantage over Mensah Saahene at the end of the round.

Scores at the end of Round 3 stood at twenty-five (25) for Mensah Saahene with Vine Christian bagging thirty (30) points.

 

Round 4 (One-on-one)

English experts tasked with bringing their flair to bear in this round were Maame Efua and Joseph for Vine Christian and Mensah Saahene respectively.

After narrowly missing the first question, Maame Efua would not be denied on the second question.

In Math, Prince stood in the name of Mensah Saahene as the expert to face Aurelia, the expert for Vine Christian.

It is important to state that at this point only five (5) points separated the two schools.

Both missed the first question and the second as well to leave fans holding their breath as

Science experts made their entry.

Emmanuella and Philippa introduced themselves as the two science experts for Mensah Saahene and Vine Christian, respectively.

Phillippa took the first question, and the second also to take Vine Christian closer to the finish line. At this stage, it was pure delight in God’s vineyard.

Nana Kwabena and Franklin stood for Mensah Saahene and Vine Christian, respectively, as General knowledge experts.

Sharpness defined Nana Kwabena, expertly taking the two General Knowledge questions to a big round of applause from fans.

At the end of the round, Mensah Saahene bagged twenty (20) points while Vine Christian won the round with thirty (30) points.

Scores declared at the end of a truly worthwhile contest gave one hundred and twenty (120) points to Mensah Saahene and one hundred and thirty (130) points to Vine Christian.

What a powerful performance from the children of the Silver Stool, but there could be only one winner and it was Vine Christian.
