Dahin Sheli very good: but Ghana Christian High better

Dahin Sheli will see their debut season in Junior Sharks as a success story worth celebrating. They faced a monumental task when they came up against Ghana Christian High International School, at the quarterfinals of Junior Sharks 7. The reason? Ghana Christian High International has no co-equal in Junior Sharks history. They are unprecedented three-time winners and one-time runner-up in Junior Sharks Quiz.

Even though the “Kings of Junior Sharks” have not been at the finals in recent editions of Junior Sharks, they nonetheless possess enormous potency.

Thus, coming all the way to the quarterfinals and giving Ghana Christian High a run for their money is no mean achievement for Dahin Sheli.

They earned praises for their “can do spirit”, but once again class they say is permanent, and Ghana Christian High exemplified that.

Right Corner Round

For a team making its debut in Junior Sharks, Dahin Sheli has particularly impressed with their all-roundedness in General Knowledge.

Fifty (50) points in this round at this stage of the competition is truly remarkable.

Ghana Christian High will have no excuses for their low score of twenty (20) in this round.

R Cubed Round

Back from the recess, Ghana Christian High introduced Nana Kwesi as they hoped to refashion their strategy.

Indeed, both teams competed in the Reading, Writing, and Arithmetics segments as if their lives depended on it.

The forty (40) points that they both earned at the end of the round goes to show how both teams performed above average.

STEM Round

It was not difficult to perceive at this stage that the contestants were feeling the mounting pressure, owing to the closeness of their scores.

Ghana Christian beat Dahin Sheli to the riddles to leave Dahin Sheli frustrated in Round 3.

Dahin Sheli came up with zero (0) points, while Ghana Christian High School overtook Dahin Sheli by bagging (40) points.

One-on-one Round

The zero score in the STEM Round appeared to have dealt Dahin Sheli a demoralising blow.

But they still had one last chance in the General Knowledge round to salvage their aspirations in Junior Sharks.

Nurudeen and Ewurama represented Dahin Sheli and Ghana Christian High in English proficiency respectively.

Ewurama clocked ten (10) points to leave Nurudeen distraught.

Rahaman met Macaiah as Math experts for Dahin Sheli and both returned empty handed.

In Science, Nana Kweku faced John as the best there is for Dahin Sheli and Ghana Christian High respectively.

First question missed the two specialists but John made amends and delivered another crucial ten (10) points for Ghana Christian High.

Desmond and Kofi Kwakye came up as Social Literacy experts for Dahin Sheli and Ghana Christian High respectively.

Yet again, Kofi Kwakye delivered another incisive ten (10) for Ghana Christian High, with Desmond lost in the woods.

End of Round scores showed Dahin Sheli with zero (0) point, as Ghana Christian High finished off nicely with thirty (30) points.

Final scores for this contest had Dahin Sheli with ninety (90) points and Ghana Christian High with one hundred and thirty (130) points.

It was obvious Ghana Christian High left it late to beat Dahin Sheli. It is, however, to be forewarned that this strategy may not achieve success against a more formidable side.

Congratulations to both teams.
