PRESEC STAVE OFF STRONG DPS CHALLENGE

Presec, Legon, demonstrated sufficient capacity to neutralize Delhi Private School (DPS) in their Senior Sharks 6 Round of 16 contest. The general belief of many is that it is Presec’s contest to lose anytime they come up against any opposition in a quiz competition. Presec, it appears always finds a way to figure out the jigsaw of their opponents when they engage in an intellectual discourse.

Against DPS in this Round of 16 Senior Sharks 6 contest, the Blue Magicians, the affectionate term of Presec, did just about what was needed to ensure victory.

The Tema-based school were not completely overawed by Presec, throughout the contest it must be said.

That they proved equal to the task on several occasions when called upon to do so is worthy of amplification.

In the end, however, the Season 4 champions of Senior Sharks showed the stuff champions are made of as they progressed to the quarterfinals smoothly.

Round 1

DPS did not start this Round on a good note as they trod the Round on wobbly legs to end the round with just twenty (20) points.

Presec were also not as scintillating as one would have expected, but they were able to manage forty (40) points regardless.

Round 2

Given the slow start to the Round 1 of this contest, fresh minds were thrown on board on both sides of the daise to expedite the march to victory.

DPS showed great proficiency in the English segment of the R-Cubed Round but Presec were electrifying in the Math segment with Dortey particularly one to watch.

At the end of the Round,  DPS gained thirty (30) points mainly from their initial excellent output in English while Presec extended their lead from the first Round with sixty-five( 65) points.

Round 3

The first quick buzz of the Round was snapped by DPS but their answer did not satisfy the requirements for a correct answer in Senior Sharks 6.

Clearly both teams were eager to get the better of their opponents which brought with it, it's own unintended negative consequences..

Ten (10) points apiece at the end of the Round gives a laconic summation of what transpired in the STEM Round.

Round 4

Gabrielle and Kwabena faced each other as the most proficient in English for DPS and Presec, Legon, respectively.

They shared the twenty (20) points available in quite plaudable fashion.

Kofi and Dortey squared off as Math wizards for DPS and Presec, Legon, respectively, as Dortey delivered the two answers asked- quod  erat  demonstrandum.

Boateng and Germaine appeared on stage as Science experts for DPS and Presec respectively.

After both were judged off target on their first attempts, Boateng left his opponent distraught as he buzzed in nano-seconds to bag the second question.

In General knowledge, Sumaya and Nii Afotey were the Specialists for DPS and Presec respectively called upon to cap a comfortable performance for Odade3 or earn a respectable score for DPS.

Jacinda Arden, former Prime Minister of New Zealand’s photo was not correctly called by Sumaya who made an attempt while Nii stayed glued in his place.

Nii made no mistake to identify rightly this time the flag of the Indian ocean archipelago of Mauritius, also known as the Continental island.

Scores at the end of this Round: Presec with forty( 40) points and DPS with twenty (20) points.

Thus, final tallied scores had Presec running away with one hundred and fifty-five (155) points as DPS commiserated with eighty (80) points.

Congratulations to Presec!
