Junior Sharks 9- Services JHS ends Belhaven dreams

Services Primary and JHS, had to be at their optimum best before pocketing Belhaven Montessori in an entertaining contest in Junior Sharks 9. The contest itself was a tight one, with scores very close in each round, save for Round 2 where Services showed speed and stamina to pull away from the claws of Belhaven.

Despite the loss, Belhaven exited the competition with their heads held high, after they put up impressive performances against Effiduase Methodist “B” and now Services.

Services have also now given themselves another great opportunity to aim for that elusive Golden Book of Knowledge trophy.

Right Corner Round

This department of the contest calls for open-mindedness and the ability to think outside the box sometimes. Both teams tried all they could muster but they didn’t have it easy.

Services JHS, however, took the lead with thirty (30) points while Belhaven Montessori School followed with twenty( 20) points.

R Cubed Round

Both schools put their spelling and comprehension skills to full capacity in the Reading and Writing segment. Belhaven didn’t really come to the party, allowing Services to make great gains that were to prop them up in the final rounds.

The Burma Camp- based school then got their Math antics in motion as they kept buzzing for ten (10) points upon ten (10) points.

At the end of the round, Services had a commanding seventy (70) points with Belhaven having ten (10) points.

STEM Round

There was an eerie silence as the riddles were expatriated one after the other, as no school was ready to be in the bad books of the judges.

But Belhaven took their chances and buzzed correctly for the 4th riddle, and the next riddle.

This made Services sit up and also aim for their own correct buzzes. They were lucky with two and unlucky with another two. At the end of the round, Belhaven had overtaken Services with thirty-five (35) points, and the latter with ten (10) points.

One-On-One
