Junior Sharks 8 Round 16- Life Int. good, but Vine Christian better

Vine Christian Int. School has booked their flight into the quarterfinals of the Junior Sharks Quiz, overcoming a tough Life Int. side in the process. This was a contest between two schools with a rich and impressive history in the Junior Sharks Quiz. For context, Life Int. went all the way to the semi-finals of Junior Sharks 7, before they left the competition with their heads held up high. With Vine Christian showing tenacity to pip Mensah Saahene in their Round of 32 contest, they had confidence soaring.

And against Life Int., Vine Christian proved once again that they were deserving of the pins and needles win over Mensah Saahene.

Judging from the rate at which Vine Christian was more determined not to leave Junior Sharks without a medal after enduring a long break from the winner's podium.

Despite the loss, the quality of material at Life Int. School is not in doubt, and they will remain worthy competitors always.

 

Round 1 (Right Corner Round)

The first round, in most instances of Junior Sharks, could be the making or unmaking of a great side.

Vine Christian got off very well in this contest, bringing fifty (50) points at the end of the round.

Life Int. could not really come to life in this first round, managing thirty (30) points for their efforts.

 

Round 2 (R Cubed Round)

As soon as the round was underway, Vine Christian picked the first question of the round.

That positive start to the round, set in motion a long stretch of correctly delivered answers from both teams in the Reading and Writing segment.

Questions in Arithmetic also turned out to be another great area for Vine Christian, who did not look back from their explosive form in the round.

At the end of the round, both teams scored high marks with Life Int. scoring forty (40) points, as Vine Christian further extended their lead with sixty-five (65) points.

 

Round 3 (STEM Round)

With their experience in Junior Sharks, Life Int. was aware that Vine Christian was within catching distance.

What they needed to do was to stay focused and give it all they got in this round of riddles.

That’s exactly what they did, making quick and accurate buzzes to earn fifteen (15) points to five (5) points for Vine Christian.

 

Round 4 (One-on-One)

Having reduced the deficit between them and Vine Christian from the previous round, Life Int. now readied for the final onslaught in the last round.

Maame Afua and Kayla for Vine Christian and Life Int. as English experts were introduced.

Both missed their two questions.

Julien and Ariela for Life and Vine as Math experts walked up to give fans a taste of their mathematical prowess.

Julien bagged the first ten (10) points in the round when he buzzed correctly for the first question. That was all.

Science experts, Philipa and Gordon for Vine Christian and Life Int. could not make their schools better in terms of points.

Franklin and Divine for Vine Christian and Life, respectively, rounded up the list of experts.

Franklin hit the second question to cap a very successful outing.

At the end of Round 4, ten (10) points each went to the two schools.

The end of contest results announced showed ninety-five (95) points to Life International School as against one hundred and thirty (130) for Vine Christian.
