Senior Sharks 8 Round 16- Presec and Adisco in high voltage duel

Presbyterian Boys Secondary School, (Presec), Legon, and Adisadel College, Cape Coast, have redefined the art of competition in Senior Sharks history. The two prestigious schools, each boasting their own unique academic credentials, produced an electrifying performance at the Round 16 stage of Senior Sharks 8 that is fit for a Netflix documentary. Presec, Legon, had to deploy all their arsenal to fend off a very determined Adisadel College in an intellectual warfare that words fail to describe.

It was a contest that literally held fans and viewers hostage, as the scores at the end of each round gave neither school any clear lead.

In the process, this feisty Senior Sharks 8 contest at the Round of 16 produced two new records in Senior Sharks history.

Presec’s mission in Senior Sharks 8 was as clear as day: an unprecedented trilogy of trophies in the competition.

Adisadel College (Adisco) also had the sole objective of securing that elusive first-ever Senior Sharks trophy.

At the end of it all, the contest had to rely on a tiebreaker to separate the two schools.

The Presecans, alias ‘Blue Magicians’ did their magic yet again to give their fans a spontaneous explosion of joy.

Round 1 (Right Corner)

The first of the two records in Senior Sharks 8 will be set in the very first round of this contest.

Both Adisco and Presec achieved the unprecedented feat of eighty (80) points each in this round of Senior Sharks. Phenomenal!

Round 2 (R Cubed)

Presec, Legon, showed class in both the Reading & Writing and the Arithmetic segments.

But don’t dismiss Adisco just yet, as they also kept nipping at the heels of Presec to end the round with scores of sixty (60) for Presec and fifty (50) for Adisco.

Round 3 (STEM)

Presec failed to get their first buzzer to the riddle correctly allowing Adisco to get their first score of the round.

That slip by Presec may have had a disorienting impact, as they recoiled into their shelves.

Adisco capitalized on this and kept hammering on the buzzer and piling up point after point.

At the end of the round, Presec were okay with fifteen (15) points as Adisco produced a staggering fifty-five (55) points.

Round 4 (One-on-one)

Sedinam and Emmanuel for Presec and Adisco, respectively, stepped up as English experts, with fans sitting on tenterhooks.

Sedinam got the two questions expertly. Game on!

Caleb and William showed up as Math experts for Presec and Adisco respectively. Caleb also did extremely well to bag twenty (20) points for Presec.

Papa Kodwo from Presec and David from Adisco, respectively, competed as Science experts.

David dropped the second question nicely.

Elijah for Presec and Jireh for Adisco in General Knowledge capped off this deeply enriching contest but with nothing more to add.

Adisco had ten (10) points at the end of the round while Presec had staged an impressive comeback to have forty (40) points.

The final scores for this beautiful exhibition of intellectual supremacy had both schools with a whopping one hundred and ninety-five (195)) points each.

This, incidentally, is the first time in Senior Sharks that two schools are tied with such a score.

The neutral arbiter to decide who makes it into the Senior Sharks 8 quarterfinals was the tie-breaker: first question, first buzz, Odadee!

Congratulations to the two schools.
