Services JHS lose Super Ranked status to Dahin Sheli

Services Primary and JHS, Burma Camp, Accra, have become the first Super Ranked school to exit the Junior Sharks 7. They suffered a painful defeat to Dahin Sheli, Norrip, Tamale, who continued their slow but steady progress in the Junior Sharks 7. Dahin Sheli, by way of a quick memory recall had accounted for Garrison JHS and Ketasco Basic to book a Super Ranked position.

With the previous two contests in juxtaposition, it is quite clear that the Tamale-based school know how to wring a win.

Services have also had a creditable track record in Junior Sharks, but they will look back and admit that they could have been a lot more purposeful in this contest.

Right Corner Round

Knowledge about heads of governments has been the achilles heels of schools in Round 16 of Junior Sharks 7.

Dahin Sheli and Services JHS added to that list, finding it extremely difficult to come up with answers to questions in this Round.

They were quite lucky to escape with ten (10) points each at the end of the round.

R Cubed Round

The two schools were at level pegging during the Reading and Writing segment.

The Arithmetic segment was a tough one, but a lot tougher for Services JHS as they failed to bag a single correct answer.

Dahin Sheli on the other hand managed to pick one correct answer to end the Round with fifteen (15) points.

Services had a negative score of five (-5) arising from their weightier bag of incorrect answers.

STEM Round

Dahin Sheli was the first to pick a riddle correctly for ten (10) points.

Services’ attempt at matching Dahin Shelin in a tit-for-tat battle was a futile exercise.

Buzzes flew in from left and right of the quizmaster, but it was Dahin Sheli who once again proved that they knew what they were about.

At the end of the round, Dahin Sheli were getting closer to the finish line with a score of twenty-five (25) while Services were dragged back again with a negative score of ten (-10).

One-on-One Round

Services would need to be at their blistering best to be able to overturn Dahin Sheli's impossible but doable lead.

Danielle and Nurudeen were posted as English experts for Services and Dahin Sheli respectively, but they both missed the two questions posed.

Rahaman and Samuel proceeded to show who will outsmart the other in Science. They failed at that endeavour.

Nana Kweku had earlier shown for Dahin Sheli that he is indeed a prodigy.

He came back onto the scene to face Alvin for Services in Mathematics, and yes! Nana Kweku didn't disappoint. He added twenty (20) solid points to his school's tally.

Sean and Desmond shared the twenty (20) points at stake, correctly identifying the photo and video uploaded for identification.

They were the General Knowledge experts for Services and Dahin Sheli respectively.

When the end of round scores were called, Services had ten (10) points with Dahin Sheli taking another commendable thirty (30) points.

At the end of the contest, Dahin Sheli had bundled Services out of Junior Sharks with a gaping difference of seventy-five (75) points.

Dahin Sheli have written a beautiful story for themselves in the seventh edition of Junior Sharks.

Quite clearly, the sky will be the limit if they continue in this rich vein of form. Congratulations to them.
