Junior Sharks 9- Ayikuma Methodist rock solid against St. Peter’s R/C JHS, Nkwatia

Ayikuma Methodist is on a roll, and unless something extraordinary happens, they are likely to sweep away everything that stands in their way in Junior Sharks 9. The highest scorers so far of the Junior Sharks 9 produced another peerless performance to send St. Peter’s R/C JHS, Nkwatia, crashing out of Junior Sharks 9.

It was a fiercely contested match, as each school went all out to protect their pride and place in Junior Sharks 9.

St. Peter’s didn’t altogether disappear from the contest though, as they showed up strongly in the R Cubed Round.

But the well-oiled Ayikuma Methodist machine was just too swift for St. Peter’s R/C to grapple with.

Right Corner Round

St. Peter’s started this round and tried as they did, but ten (10) points only returned to their basket.

Ayikuma Methodist Basic took a strong lead with sixty (60) points, once again demonstrating their versatility.

R Cubed Round

The first round scores just served as a precursor to the swinging safari fans were about to be served with.

With an incredible fifty (50) points, St. Peter’s R/C JHS, Nkwatia – Kwahu came back strongly to turn the contest on its head. Ayikuma’s First Round celebrations were cut short as they dropped sharply to fifteen (15) points. 

STEM Round

Ayikuama was not going to allow St. Peter’s any comfort whatsoever, as they correctly intercepted the riddles.

Ayikuma Methodist Basic bounced back at the end of the round with forty-five (45) points,

while St. Peter’s R/C JHS, Nkwatia – Kwahu scored fifteen (15) points. 

One-On-One Round

Mathematicians Darius and Saeed from St. Peter’s R/C, and Ayikuma, respectively, came up. Saeed brought home ten (10) points.

Darius was presented by St. Peter’s R/C as a specialist to face Hamdiyyah for Ayikuma. The twenty (20) points on offer went to none other than Hamdiyyah.

Juanita and Bright were named as the specialists for Ayikuma and St. Peter’s R/C.

Bright was able to snatch the twenty (20) points available from Juanita.

Scores from this round gave thirty (30) points to Ayikuma and thirty (30) points to Ayikuma.

After this exciting contest, St. Peter’s had one hundred and five (105), behind the deserved winners Ayikuma: one hundred and fifty (150).
