Life International makes life difficult for St. Peter's JHS

St. Peter's JHS have had their smooth ride in the Junior Sharks 7 tragically derailed by Life International School. Everything was on course for St. Peter's JHS to reach the next stage of Junior Sharks Season 7. In Rounds 1 and 2 of the Junior Sharks 7, they defeated Atomic Hills JHS, and Ranked school, Okuapeman Basic School.

Against Life International, they started well and looked like they were going to add Life International to their list of victims.

Life International, however, didn't appear too panicky even after they got hugely disadvantaged from the start.

The Tema-based school organised themselves and kept their composure as the rounds wore on, eventually winning this contest by a big margin.

Right Corner Round

Immediately after introductions were completed, St. Peter's had the honor of opening this contest.

It wasn't the best possible start to this contest for the Nkwatia - Kwahu based school but having thirty (30) points is better than none.

Life International, whatever the outcome of the contest, will definitely need to go back to the drawing board.

Their performance in this round was a cause for concern, ending the round with only one question correctly answered for ten (10) points.

R Cubed Round

Benedicta replaced Edwin For St. Peter's while Erica replaced Freda for Life Int. as the two schools hoped to hit top gear.

Erica went straight into action, providing inspiration for her colleagues to pick their first set of questions.

The rise of Life International in this round was inversely proportional to the points earned by St. Peter's SHS.

At the end of the Round, St. Peter's had hit many blind spots and only took ten (10) points while Life International took the lead with (45 ) points.

STEM Round

By far the worst round for both teams of this contest is the STEM Round.

Both teams made impressive buzzes to bag correct answers but yet again, rashness brought them no positive results.

Life International had no points while St. Peter's had five (5) points, at the end of the round.

One-on-One Round

Ivan and Kayla came up as English specialists for St. Peter's and Life International respectively.

None of them could make their school proud.

Joseph vrs Jonathan as Math dons for Life International and St. Peter's now had their jobs cut out for them.

Two correct calls by Jonathan meant that St. Peter's had overtaken Life International pending the outcome of the last two segments.

On the other hand, a correct answer by Joseph was going to further sink St. Peter's.

There was no-show by the two specialists in Math anyway. Whew!

As Erica and Leslie walked briskly to the lectern as Science Sharks for Life International and St. Peter's respectively, the tension was beginning to build.

It was Erica who buzzed quickest to provide “alloy” as an answer to the first question.. She was right!

Erica again sounded her buzzer midstream but she was unsure of her answer, which was wrong when it was finally delivered.

What a golden opportunity this presented for Leslie, but he was in a rush, and found his answer unacceptable.

Edwin had the fate of St. Peter's on his shoulders when he appeared as General Knowledge expert for St. Peter's. He faced Freda as the General Knowledge expert for Life International.

Within seconds of uploading the photo of “You Only Live Once”(YOLO) actor, her buzzer sounded and she nailed it.

If her first buzzer was good, her second buzzer was better, as she correctly identified the logo of Tesla for all twenty (20) points for her school.

At the end of the round, St. Peter's had no point and Life International had thirty (30) points.

With the final scores at forty-five (45) points for St. Peter's and Eighty-five (85) points for Life International, the Rev. Dr. Gordon Kisseih founded school had shown that with God, all things are possible.

Congratulations!
