Sharks 5 : St. Peter's brushes off Ketasco on their way to their first semifinal appearance.

St. Peter's Senior High School, Nkwatia, tamed Keta Senior High Technical School at the quarter final stages of Senior Sharks 5. Both schools it must be said are represented by great minds capable of wreaking havoc.

Sharks 5 : St. Peter's brushes off Ketasco on their way to their first semifinal appearance.

In their last contest, Keta SHS saw off Okuapeman SHS at the Round of 16 while St. Peter's decimated rivals Pope John SHS at same stage.

St. Peters, a.k.a Persco, hold the enviable record as the team with the highest score of two hundred and forty(240) points in Senior Sharks 5.

Matter-of-factly speaking, if Keta SHS were going to stop St. Peter's, they ought and must operate at full capacity.

From all indications, this was going to be a fiercely  contested match, even though St. Peter's SHS appear to have the upper hand.

Inevitably, the contest did not depart from its forecasted trajectory as St. Peter's strolled to yet another high scoring victory.

Round 1

Keta also boast of being the only team to answer eight questions correctly under one minute in Senior Sharks 5.

It was a big ask expecting Keta to perform such wonders once again but regardless, the Dzolalians didn’t disappoint, ending the round with sixty(60) points.

St. Peter’s also recorded a perfect score of eighty(80) on their way to setting the highest total scores in their contest against Pope John.

Unlike Keta, St. Peter’s repeated the show over again as they scored another dizzying eighty(80) points.

Round 2

Having tested each other’s pulse, the stage clearly had been set for intense angling by both schools in this R-Cubed Round.

It was a bit ironical that Keta’s substitution in the person of Elizabeth ended up derailing Keta's chances rather than shoring them up.

Elvis, who just like Elizabeth had come in to replace Emmanuel, however, made his team proud as he helped St. Peter's to record fifty-five(55) points at the end of the round.

Keta had zero(0).

Round 3

Most championship winning teams in Senior Sharks are unstoppable, nay, irrepressible, in the STEM Round.

St. Peter’s made their intentions in Senior Sharks 5 loud and clear as they were as ubiquitous as they were callous in this Round.

Keta's feeble attempt at mounting a response to the total domination by Persco was met with an incorrect feedback.

St. Peter’s had yet another fifty-five(55) points at the end of the round.

Keta SHS got worse as they ended the round with negative(-5) points.

Round 4

At the end of the Third Round, the contest was over- the rest a mere formality.

Anyway, the top shots in English, Math, Science and General Knowledge entered appearance.

First, the two substitutes: Elizabeth and Elvis for Keta and St. Peter's came face-to-face as English experts.

Elizabeth redeemed herself by picking the first question after Elvis had missed it.

They both then missed the second question.

Math specialists Amekudzi ( not sure if he has familial ties with Lawyer Amekudzi of amicus curiae fame) and Setornam for Keta SHS and St. Peter's respectively responded as Math wizards.

Amekudzi shocked Setornam to pick all the two questions for full twenty(20) points.

Joseph and Kwasi Amo showed up as Science geeks for Keta and St. Peter’s respectively.

Kwesi Amo hit the buzzer on two occasions and he was correct on both.

Wisdom and Joshua were the Social Literacy experts representing Keta and St. Peter’s respectively.

Joshua correctly identified the flag of the Central African Republic.

However, on the matter of the voice identification both of them could not pick out the voice as that of the Minister of Communication and Digitalization, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

Round 4 scores had St. Peter’s with thirty(30) points while Keta SHS had thirty (30) points.

St. Peter’s had scored another head-concussion inducing two hundred and twenty(220) points to knockout Keta SHS who had eighty-five(85) points.
