KETASCO EDGE KNUST SHS IN TIGHT CONTEST

Two schools, KNUST SHS and Keta SHS, thought as having equal chance at winning were in battle at the Senior Sharks 6 Round  of 16. The tale of the tapes did indicate that Keta SHS( Ketasco) had a slight advantage over KNUST SHS owing to their stronger showing in the history of Senior Sharks. KNUST SHS entered this contest after they ran victorious over St. Louis SHS and were hoping to keep the winning streak going.

On the evidence of happenings in this contest, KNUST stood toe-to-toe with the Voltarians and even took a round to jolt Keta to the inherent danger in underestimating them.

This contest will go down as one of the hotly contested in Senior Sharks 6, and one that was exciting to behold.

Round 1

Keta SHS cut the red ribbon of this contest having their first set of eighth questions to contend with.

With their vast experience in Senior Sharks, a lot more should have come from Ketasco, but try as they did, they could only strike even.

KNUST had their turn with their own set of eight questions, and found themselves wanting on most of the questions to end the round with a measly thirty (30) points.

Round 2

With their job done, the social scientists exited the stage to make way for new entrants to carry on the baton.

KNUST started the Round this time and bagged their first question of the Round.

They did not put a foot wrong afterwards in the Reading and Writing especially, scooping Keta's bonuses to stretch the point gap.

Ketasco were not far adrift though, as they kept tailing the now leaders of this contest.

End of Round results gave fifty (50) points to

Ketasco while Ketasco earned a comforting thirty (30) points.

Round 3

The two schools were in a contest of their lives as both showed enough hunger for victory with timely buzzes.

Interestingly, Ketasco had the contest in their favour once again as they dealt with their buzzes more decisively and accurately than KNUST SHS did.

At the end of this round, Keta SHS were leaders again with thirty-five (35) points with KNUST  managing affairs with just ten (10) points.

Round 4

Predicting a clear and distinct winner at this stage was still an arduous undertaking as only fifteen (15) points stood between victor and vanquished.

Boateng and Benedict represented KNUST SHS and Ketasco respectively as English specialists.

Boateng showed sharp reflexes to snatch the first question with lightening speed.

Benedict sought to replicate Boateng’s sharpness as he hit the buzzer for the second question but was unlucky with his answer.

Math experts Michael and Nelson took position for KNUST SHS and Ketasco respectively.

Both got ruled incorrect on their two questions available for twenty (20) points.

As Science specialists, Ketasco elected Peter while KNUST SHS banked their hopes on Stephen.

Peter clinched an all important ten points for Ketasco but unfortunately both made a mess of the second question as they did not hasten slowly.

KNUST presented Nana Yaw as Social Literacy expert whereas Keta presented Benedict, both without a faintest idea the audio or video produced for identification.

At the end of the round ten( 10) points shared equally between the two teams.

Final scores of this evenly matched contest revealed Keta SHS with one hundred and fifteen (115) points as against one hundred (100) points for KNUST SHS.

A very close shave for Ketasco!
