Queen of Peace Basic School won in their first Junior Sharks contest.
Faith Kids Academy’s attempt at joining the list of newcomers climbing up the ladder in Junior Sharks 8 could not materialise. Madina’s Queen of Peace Basic School would be the school to end the dreams of Faith Kids Academy in the Round of 32 of Junior Sharks 8. Faith Kids showed genuine intent at rubbing shoulders with the big boys and girls of Junior Sharks 8.

They gave their best and attempted all questions that came their way in this third contest of Junior Sharks 8 with all the seriousness they could muster.
However, the high stakes in this year’s competition proved to be a little too much for their lack of experience.
Round 1 (Right Corner Round)
Queen of Peace Basic School had it all going well for them in the First Round.
Their combination of confidence and intellect was a delight to watch.
Faith Kids were not in the best of shapes, only able to hit one question successfully.
In the end, the first timers got ten (10) points with Queen of Peace finishing with sixty (60) points.
Round 2 (R Cubed Round)
Faith Kids had to keep faith alive if they meant to stay in the competition and be part of the fun and excitement unfolding in Junior Sharks 8.
After the Reading and Writing segment, the Math questions brought out the best in both schools and gave them good scores.
At the end of the Round, Faith Kids Academy scored thirty-five (35) points while Queen of Peace dropped behind with twenty (20) points.
Round 3 (STEM Round)
The first question of the round swerved all schools, but they both shook off the initial inconvenience of the riddles and bounced back.
Really and truly, both schools deserve a pat on the back for their boldness in attempting the riddle questions.
As a reward for their efforts, Faith Kids earned twenty-five (25) points with Queen of Peace racing to take their top position once again with fifty (50).
Round 4 (One-on-one)
English specialists were Audrey and Queeneth for Faith Kids and Queen of Peace respectively.
Queeneth took Queen of Peace closer to joining the winning bandwagon when she correctly decoded the first idiomatic expression.
Angel and Anarkwa for Faith and Queen of Peace in Math, but their attempts couldn’t make any mathematical difference.
Up next were Seyram and Emmanuel as Science experts for Faith and Queen of Peace respectively.
Their two questions were neatly collected, first by Seyram, and Emmanuel second.
Finally, Bismark and Melchi made their appearance as General Knowledge experts for Queen of Peace and Faith Kids Academy respectively. It was Bismark who put the icing on top of the cake for Queen of Peace.
At the end of Round 4, scores stood at ten (10) for Faith Kids Academy and forty (40) for
Queen of Peace.
When final scores were announced, Faith Kids took home a respectable eighty (80) points, while Queen of Peace were smiling into the Round of 16 with a colossal one hundred and seventy (170) points.
Better luck to Faith Kids Academy and big congratulations to Queen of Peace Academy.
