ST. THOMAS AQUINAS BOYS SAIL THROUGH OVER WA TECHNICAL INSTITUTE

Contest 1 of Day 4 of the Sharks Quiz - Senior Sharks edition was all about speed, accuracy and precision as St. Thomas Aquinas SHS locked horns with Wa Technical Institute to book a place in the next stage of the competition. This was the first time Wa Technical Institute was represented and they looked poised to leave a mark.

ROUND 1
Aquinas boys began this round with an accurate answer and you could see how poised they were ass their accuracy paid off in the manner in which they answered the questions. Although they passed some questions, they looked strategized. On from the onset one could decipher the collaborative spirit among the team. They practically had every question they answered accurately, and passed what they seemed not to know.

Wa Technical Institute likewise began well in round one with the right composure as they answered their series of questions accuracy as well, passing a series of them. Yet Aquinas led at the end of round one.

ROUND 2
The two schools made substitutions in this round with Christabel coming in for Wa whilst Jonathan came in for Aquinas. The boys of Aquinas showed immense prowess in this round as they answered the questions back-to-back making room as they overpowered their opponents. Wa had a rather slow start in this round which affected their whole composure .

The results of this round manifested a positive outlook for the boys of Aquinas.

ROUND 3
Round three presented its own problems as both schools battles for the eventual win, with Aquinas leading impressively.

Bonus points were at stake, Wa needed a comeback which looked much bleak but they had to try. No leniency on the part of both schools.

It was a rather slow rounds as the schools missed out on the questions and gave out wrong answers which resulted in deductions.

Both schools run at a deficit at the end of this round, justifying what an intense round it was.

ROUND 4
Round 4 is always the round to look for as individual contestants match face-to-face.

Christabel and Isaac began the round with Isaac securing points in the first set of English questions. Although Christabel tried it did not match.

Here comes in Peter and James for Maths. However both could not make any points in this set.

Jonathan and Kingsford locked horns for Sciywith Jonathan answering all two questions correctly in an impressive display of scientific brilliance.

Albert and Jeffrey could not secure any points in the last set of general knowledge questions.

In all the contest was fun to watch and the hook was readily available from round one to round four as Aquinas qualified for the next stage of the competition.
